Adam Taylor (right) is seen presenting Richard Birchenough - MD of the band, with the score of his arrangement of the hymn tune "Peacefully Round Us".  The arrangement is one of two pieces the band has commissioned to mark its 75 Year Celebrations in 2013.

Adam, a professional musician, travelled from London in March to listen to his piece being rehearsed.

Adam graduated from the Royal College of Music in 2012 (principal study trombone) with a BMus (Hons).   He teaches trombone and brass in London and Oxford, and is a published composer and arranger.

While he was at the Royal College of Music he studied with Roger Harvey (Co-Principal Trombone – BBC Symphony Orchestra) and Lindsay Shilling (Principal Trombone – Royal Opera House).
